Andrew (Andy) Rankin Rushford, 94, of Orange City, Florida passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at his home.

A home going service will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Deltona Alliance Church.

Andy was born in Witt, Illinois on April 8, 1923. He was a World War II Veteran and retired as a fire chief in Detroit, Michigan.

Andy was a member of Deltona Alliance Church for approximately 20 years. He was an avid sports lover who only stopped playing senior softball 4 years ago.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Lois Adeline Rushford, and his 7 daughters; Kathy Boniface, Jean Redding, Carolyn Rushford, Sharon Hills, Wilma Mondell, Deborah Muglia and Laurie Piasecki. He also has 26 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. He will be reunited with his son Andrew Rushford, Jr. in heaven.
