Andrew Batchelder Ebert, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on December 12, 2021. The cause was cholangiocarcinoma and renal cell carcinoma. Andy was born on a frosty January 15th, 1962, in Dover, New Hampshire. He was the beloved third child of Judy and Leonard Ebert, baby brother of middle sister, Dawn, and big sister Leslie. His father, Leonard, also known as Bear, was a gifted airline mechanic with Northeast airlines, a gruff family provider with a quirky wit and a soft heart. Mother Judy, outgoing, zany, and fun-loving, was a homemaker extraordinaire, who specialized in extravagant Christmas decorations and family holiday celebrations.

Andy spent an idyllic early childhood playing in the New Hampshire woods, fishing in the lake behind his house, snowmobiling in the wilderness, and camping with his family. When Andy was 10, his father was transferred to Atlanta, Georgia to work for Delta, and the family pulled up roots and left their extended kin for the deep south.

It was during his teenage years that Andy developed a passion for photography, which led to his longtime love of film and television production. He earned his Associate of Arts degree from Oxford College in Atlanta and attended Georgia Tech and UCF. After college, he began his long career in the television business in Florida. In his early years, he worked as an editor on classics like the Mickey Mouse Club and the annual Disney Christmas and Easter parades. Other clients included ESPN, The Sunshine Network, Universal Studios, and the Golf Channel. He worked on "Global Guts" for Nickelodeon, "Secrets of the Animal Kingdom" for Disney, and "Animal Jam" for the Jim Henson Company.

Andy was one of the first editors to be hired by the Golf Channel in Orlando when it first debuted, and after 25 years of freelance and staff work there, the projects he was most proud of were "The Big Break" and 10 seasons of "The Feherty Show."

Andy met his wife, Brenda in 1999 and they shared 22 years of life adventures together. At Andy's celebration of life, Brenda shared, "Andy was my love, my best friend, my rock, my protector, and my favorite grumpy curmudgeon. With him I experienced an unconditional love and I always felt safe with him by my side. Andy was an avid Braves fan, a gourmet cook, a scuba diver, a photographer, an editor, a videographer, a creative artist. He had a brilliant brain and was slyly funny. He was a tech geek and could figure out or fix any gadget – electronic or mechanical. He had the patience of a saint. He was a computer whisperer. He was a dog whisperer. He was passionate about his work and loved to teach his art to others. He had a deeply tender heart."

Andy is survived by his wife, Brenda White, Orlando, sisters Leslie Noles (Belissa Morgan), Florence, Alabama, and Dawn Haggard (John), Newnan, Georgia, mother-in-law Nancy Bessler, Orlando, six nieces and nephews, and eleven great nieces and nephews.
