Marie Cheeseman of Maitland, Florida passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025, at the age of 94. She was born on November 26, 1930, to Charles and Alma McCoy of Trenton, New Jersey.

Marie graduated from Mercer Hospital School of Nursing in New Jersey and worked for many years as a registered nurse. After moving to Florida, Marie's nursing career continued with the completion of her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and advancement to leadership positions in home health nursing.

After retirement from nursing, Marie enjoyed volunteering at Winter Park Hospital for over 20 years. A dedicated tennis player, Marie played with Vintage Tennis of Central Florida forming many close friendships. Marie loved dancing with friends and family, and during her years residing at Brentwood at Fore Ranch in Ocala, whenever music was playing, Marie could be found happily dancing.

Marie will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to have known her.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years Philip Robert Cheeseman. Cherishing Marie's memory are her children, Suzanne Armijo, Pamela Cheeseman, Jennifer Newburger (husband Eric Newburger), Geoffrey Cheeseman and granddaughters, Caroline Walasik (husband Jon Walasik) and Vivienne Newburger. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many loving friends and colleagues.
