Alice Ruth Gidus, age 88, of Fern Park passed away on July 14, 2015. She was born March 31, 1927 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Alice was a homemaker and beloved mother of 9 children. She is survived by her sons, Tim, David, Andy, Tom and Frank, II; daughters, Carol McHugh, Fran Kniel, Maria Chandler and Jackie Smith; 24 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her huband, Frank Gidus.
A visitation will be held from 6:30-8 PM, Friday, July 17, 2015 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church Chapel, 526 N. Park Avenue, Winter Park, Florida 32789. The visitation will be followed by a reception at the Lake of the Woods Clubhouse, Carolwood Blvd., Fern Park, Florida. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 AM Saturday, July 18, 2015 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church Chapel. A private family interment will follow at Palm Cemetery, Winter Park.
