Alice Cecelia Denton, 94, of Altamonte Springs, FL passed away peacefully Sunday, February 22, 2015. She was born August 19, 1920 in Ford City, PA to the late M.J. and Cecelia (Englert) Shrader.
As a hard-working single mother, Alice's accounting career spanned three decades in Pennsylvania and Ohio. She remarried and relocated to Citrus Heights, CA, relishing her role as a homemaker for the next 34 years. After the passing of her husband she moved to the Orlando area in 1999 to be near family.
Nana, as she was know to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was a woman of faith and diverse interests. She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church, St. Anthony Circle, Senior Gleaners (CA), loved playing cards with friends, gambling at the casinos, fishing, bowling, traveling and rooting for the Tampa Rays. She was an incredibly loving, positive and happy person who appreciated each day.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Snider, of Longwood, 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Floyd D. Denton, son William H. Stouffer, son-in-law William H. Snider, sister Mary Emmonds, 3 brothers James W., Glenn J. and Harold Shrader.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm Saturday, February 28th preceding the 1:00 pm Funeral Mass at Annunciation Catholic Church, 1020 Montgomery Road, Altamonte Springs, Florida 32714.
