Albert F. LaTorella, 73, of Apopka, FL, passed away August 29, 2019. Al was born April 10, 1946 in Winchester, MA, to Fred and Lucy LaTorella.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Roben; daughter, Crystal(Miguel); grandsons, Starlin, Aliyas; son, Anthony; twin sister, Barbara (Ray); brother, Billy (Franchine); brother, Freddy (RoseAnne); nieces, Barbie, Paula, Alexia, Charlotte; nephews, Adam, Nicholas, Shane; grand nephews and grand nieces and, of course, his faithful dog, Lexa.

As a boy, he served his community as an Eagle Scout. Al served our country in the Navy from 1965 to 1971. After his honorable discharge, he worked for the postal service. Later, he co-owned an ARCO Gas Station in Cambridge, MA, across from MIT, with his brother Billy.

He moved to Ft. Lauderdale in the early '70's where he worked for Broward County Casey's Taxi Service, servicing their vehicles.

He then moved to Central Florida where he became a restaurateur. The first restaurant Al co-owned was Orchids Restaurant, in Orlando, from 1984 to 1985. He then owned Pitcher House, in Fern Park, from 1985 to 1988 and The Grill Room, in Longwood, from 1988 to 2012.

Services are to be at Longwood Historic Civic Center on 135 West Church St..Parking is available across the street.
