Albert E. Kipp, 99, a long-time resident of Sanford went to be with his heavenly Father, family and friends in Heaven on December 24, 2019. He was born in Peoria, IL on February 15, 1920 to Arthur L. and Bertha (Sorrel) Kipp and moved to Orlando with his family in 1939. There he met his wife of 59 years, Marjorie. After serving his country in the U.S. Army, he moved to Sanford and in 1944 purchased a small 'Mom-and-Pop' store. Later, he worked at the Naval Air Station in Sanford and the former Naval Training Center in Orlando.
"Kip", as he was affectionately known, enjoyed working, family time, playing pool and dancing, and remained active well into this year.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Marjorie (Rabb), his son James, daughter Sara, grandchild Angelica, brother Raymond and his sister Ethel. He is survived by his son Thomas (Judy), as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Albert was blessed to be the patriarch of five generations for 8 years: his son Thomas, his granddaughter Tammy, her daughter Lisa, and Lisa's daughter 'Destin'.
A Family and Friends Visitation and Service will be held at DeGusipe Funeral Home – Brisson Chapel, 905 Laurel Ave., Sanford, on Sunday, December 29 at 4:00 pm.
