Albert Ewing Ford, 88, of Winter Springs passed away December 26, 2014 in Orlando, FL. He was born January 25, 1926 in Nashville, TN to William Walton and Sarah Ewing Ford and grew up in Atlanta, GA. He served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. He was attached to the 2nd Armored Amphibian Battalion that saw action in Saipan, Tinian, and Iwo Jima. He was honorably discharged in 1945.
He lived in Birmingham, Al., in south Fl. and in Marathon, Fl., where he owned a motorcycle shop. He also lived for many years in Hilo, Hi. He loved woodworking. He designed, crafted, and sold many beautiful furniture pieces over the years. He and his wife, Betty, traveled extensively, especially to Australia and New Zealand and made many friendships there.
After Betty's death, he married Donna Green and moved with her to Pueblo, Co.
In 2013 he moved to Fl. to live with his son, Walton and wife, Sandy.
Albert was an Episcopalian, but also attended Rocky Mountain Baptist Church while living in Pueblo.
He is preceded in death by his wives: Betty Kendrick Ford, and Donna Ford. Also 3 brothers, son, Lewis Berry Ford, and stepdaughters Kathy Marcelius and Trisha Simmons. He is survived by his children with wife Margaret: Andrew, D. Walton (Sandra), and Sarah (Allen) Cleveland. Also children Margaret Ford and Richard (Stephanie) Ford, Sandra Martino-Hewitt, Connie (Richard) Simpson, Phillip (Hope) Blue, and Wendy Fuller as well as numerous grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
