Obituary

Addie P. Forsyth, 81 of Ponce Inlet, Florida passed away November 19, 2018. Ms. Forsyth was born October 27, 1937 in Geneva, Florida to Thomas Walker and Hazel Clara Prevatt.

She is survived by her loving son, Thomas, his wife Mary Kay Hendrickson and grandson, Brandon, her brother Carlton Eugene Prevatt and his wife Paulette.

Addie graduated from Seminole Highschool and went into banking in Sanford. When she got married, she moved to Tampa and went to work for Tampa National Bank. After her divorce, she moved back to Sanford and went to work at Cape Canaveral. Eventually, she accepted a position with Meva Corporation, a large construction management firm and moved to Georgia. From there she accepted a transfer to California, ultimately moving back to Atlanta Georgia. She Later accepted a position as accounting manager for a start-up construction company in Northern Virginia. She left the construction company after many years and went to work for the CIA at Langley Headquarters. After some time in that position, she accepted a position as the accounting manager at the third largest law firm in the Washington DC area. After more than 20 years there, she retired to the beach in Ponce Inlet, Florida.

Addie was a fiercely independent, outspoken and at times a feisty woman. She knew what was important to her and just how she wanted things. She liked everything in its place and when it wasn't right, that is when the feistiness came through.

She was great mom. She was tough enough not to let me get away with anything, but smart enough to let me go so I could learn and grow to be the man I am today. She always stood up for me and I always watched over her. When she was diagnosed with lung cancer, we had a saying, "It is what it is and we'll get through it together". I owe so very much to her for all she did for me throughout my life and will forever be thankful and proud that I was blessed to have her for my mother.

She will be missed terribly and all the memories of our times together will be cherrished everyday. She will never be forgotten and will always be loved.

Until we are together agian,
Love you Mom
