Aaron Blackwelder, 68, of Groveland, Florida passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022, of Covid-19.

He is survived by his wife, Connie; his son, Nolan (Lian); his grandson, Ruxin; his sisters, Jane Greene (Jim) and Lorna Anderson; his brothers, Dan Blackwelder (Beverly); Gary Blackwelder (Marcy); David Blackwelder; his stepson, Dale Chisena; his stepdaughters, Jennifer Blasko (Joe) and Laura Pond (Chris); his step grandchildren, Keira and Deacon Pond, Haley and Mason Blasko; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Aaron was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Blackwelder; and his mother Marie Blackwelder.

Aaron grew up in Apopka, Florida where he attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Aaron graduated from Apopka Memorial High School and continued his education at Brigham Young University and the University of Florida where he received his MD.

Aaron and his wife, Connie, met at Apopka Memorial High School and became good friends. Following high school, they took different paths in life. After 45 years apart, Aaron found Connie on Facebook and they began anew. The happy couple were married July 10, 2017. They were truly a match made in heaven.
Aaron enjoyed playing billiards, board games and watching movies. He loved to play guitar and even tried his hand at songwriting. He never knew a stranger and would always make you feel welcomed. He had an infectious sense of humor and had a special affinity for the underdog. Anyone that truly knew him, knew he had such a big heart. Aaron was a kind and loving man and will be missed beyond measure.

Services are to be held on Friday, February 18, at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 600 Martin Street, Apopka, Florida 32712. If sending flowers, please send them to the church.
