Obituary

Aaron Randall (Randy) Betsinger, 75 of Orlando, Florida passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019. Mr. Betsinger was born May 3, 1944 in Moultrie Georgia to Mr. and Mrs. N.W. (Kelly and Nora) Betsinger.
Randy grew up in Oviedo, and was a resident of Winter Park, and Orlando, Florida. He graduated from Winter Park High School in 1962. He spent 25 years with John Harlan (checks) Company and National Stand. Life Insurance Company of Orlando, Florida.

Randy had an avid interest in cars that began back in 1957. He carved out a future design car for a contest that was sent to Dearborn, Michigan in 1957. He was a founding member of Central FL Mustang Club in the early 80's and a proud owner of 30+ Mustangs in his lifetime.

One special car was his Shelby GT-350 '65 with original equipment. He arranged many car shows in Central FL, most notable was the very 1st original show debuting in Silver Springs, FL with over 300 entries that he officially introduced to the Central Florida area.

Randy loved Western movies with major collections of John Wayne and Steve McQueen and a huge assortment of model mustangs and book memorabilia.
He played and loved sports! Most notable was with the Winter Park Little League with his brothers, Larry and Tommy playing on the same team (Giants) circa 1955. Randy was well known for his arm strength in throwing football during Sunday sandlot play at Ward Park in Winter Park.
Randy also excelled as a player/coach for the renowned Burger King Team propelling them to high honors both in a Team League Championship (no losses) and Tournament Play at Lake Fairview Park in the early 70's.

Other interest lay in artwork including drawings of cartoon characters, dragons and hot rod cars.

He is survived by Brothers; Norman Lawrence (Larry) Betsinger and Jody, Tommy Dorsey Betsinger and Elaine, Nephews; Scott, Travis, Matthew and Jason Betsinger; His Best Friends; Joe Justice, David & Gaye Samuel, and Sonny Fanning.
