William "Bill" Pennell

William “Bill” Pennell, of Ocoee, FL, formerly of Somerville, MA, passed away Tuesday, April 5th, at 92 years of age. Beloved husband of Grace (Kirkness) Pennell, with whom he shared 65 loving years of marriage. Devoted father of Kenneth Pennell and Lawrence Pennell of Melrose, MA, Scott Pennell of Ocoee, FL, and Rhonda (Pennell) Harrington and her husband Timothy of Winter Garden, FL. Loving grandfather of Keith Pennell, Kaeli Harrington and Bree Harrington. Dear brother of Patrick Pennell, Rena McNeil and her husband James, Joseph Pennell and his wife Ceil, Sally Casey and her late husband Robert, and the late Leo Pennell. Bill was raised in Somerville, MA and lived there for many years with his wife and children. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Bill worked for Polaroid Corporation and retired after 30 years of service. Bill enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Most weekends were spent playing cards with his siblings. Bill and his wife moved to Florida in 1999. Bill was a dedicated Catholic and worshiped at Holy Family Catholic Church in Orlando. He enjoyed watching sports with his family and continued cheering on his Boston sports teams from his home in Florida. Private services will be held.
