Thermon Rock McCormick

February 14, 1965 - January 19, 2022

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered, “Come to Me.” With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away, and although we love you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.” -by Kathleen Coelho Thermon Rock "Rocky" McCormick touched the lives of so many! He was funny, loving, kind, generous, huggable, and an inspiration to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Despite Rocky’s many health challenges, beginning when he was 18 and had his first kidney transplant and followed by three other transplants, Rocky always handled the procedures with a positive attitude and humble humor. He used humor to calm his fears and kept a big smile on his face that would light up any room. He fought so hard to live that the family joked he was a cat with nine lives - that’s the honest truth! He loved life! Rocky was an avid reader and lover of music, history, and his dog, Libby Lou. Rocky loved football, his favorite teams were the Florida Gators and Miami Dolphins! He enjoyed theme parks, especially Disney (where he was last employed), the beach, and sunshine on his face. Most of all, Rocky loved his family and friends deeply. He left a lasting impact on the lives of so many. Rocky will be forever missed. We are sure that he would like to add that he had great hair, was hot, was a space cowboy, a gangster of love, and a great singer. (Our Rock!) Thermon Rock "Rocky" McCormick passed away January 19, 2022. At 56, Rocky was just shy of his 57th birthday, which he shared with his older sister Teresa.
