Tarra Lee Moscovitz

Tarra Lee Moscovitz passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025, at Altamonte Advent Health Hospital, surrounded by her daughters, Shayna Cowen and Emily Hunt. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on October 8, 1966, Tarra spent most of her life in Florida, where she was raised in Casselberry by her mother Jean Moscovitz

Tarra was a devoted daughter and friend. She is survived by her siblings Jamie Moscovitz, Tawn Kelley, and Brett Moscovitz, all of whom she cherished deeply. No matter the distance, Tarra always made an effort to show her love and support to her family.

Known for her strength, resilience, and unwavering sense of humor, Tarra brought light and laughter even in the most difficult moments. Her career was dedicated to service—first with the Deltona Police Dispatch, and later in Human Relations—where she took pride in helping others and making a difference in her community.

Tarra was a passionate dog lover, having cared for many breeds over the years, including English Shepherds, Great Danes, and Cavaliers. She treated each one with the same boundless love and compassion she showed to everyone in her life. A friendly face in her neighborhood, Tarra was always ready to lend a hand or share a smile with those around her.

Family and heritage were pillars of Tarra's life, and she passed these values on to her children. Her strength, kindness, and integrity continue to live on in those who knew and loved her.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on May 16, 2025, at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Family and close friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Tarra's life.
