James Leonard Lange

November 16, 1954 - March 9, 2022

James Leonard Lange signed off on a great life March 9, 2022, after a long courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. Jim was surrounded by his family at home in Apopka, Florida. Jim was born to the late Madeline and Joseph “Bud” Lange on November 16, 1954, in Brooklyn, New York. Jim was the youngest sibling to brother Edward Lange of California, and sister Maureen Parks (Alan) of Lake Mary, Florida. Jim is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Linda, and his pride and joy, daughter Jamie (Glen), son Jason, and granddaughter Harper. Jim is preceded in death by his son Edward Alan. Jim had a special bond with his cousins, nieces, nephews, and his brothers and sisters-in-law. He loved being a part of their lives and distance could never keep them apart. Harper was his sunshine and he absolutely loved being her grandpa. Jim was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 606 and worked as an electrician for over forty years. He had the opportunity to travel and work in many parts of the country, including Wyoming, Texas, California, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. He built lasting friendships wherever he went. Jim loved to laugh and make others laugh with his unique sense of humor, which was a treasure to all that knew him. He loved being with family and friends and enjoyed camping, fishing, and just being outdoors. Jim was an avid baseball fan who enjoyed rooting for and coaching his son Jason and countless other youths. He enjoyed following the San Francisco Giants and was also an enthusiastic Florida State fan as Jamie and Jason are both alumni. An adored husband, loving father, cherished grandpa, loyal sibling, reliable friend, devoted Catholic, accomplished electrician, and not-so-fashionable dresser he will be missed by all. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Mary Magdalen Catholic Church (861 Maitland Ave, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701) on 9 April 2022 at 10:00am. Following the Mass, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, there will be a gathering at Jim's union hall at the IBEW Local 606 (820 Virginia Dr, Orlando, FL 32803). Dress is casual.
