Glen Thomas Landress
December 15, 1966 - June 4, 2022
Glen Thomas Landress, age 55, of Winter Springs, Florida, passed away following a lengthy battle of Multiple Sclerosis on June 4, 2022. His last days were spent surrounded by the love of his family, friends and nursing team. He was born on December 15, 1966 at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. He was the son of the late Barbara W. (neé Passmore) and Thomas Landress. The family moved to Florida after Glen's father had retired from the Service to be with his parents. As Glen grew up in Winter Springs his first sport was dirt bikes. He was good at it as he had the best bike and brought home many trophies. But his favorite love for sports was baseball. He played for Winter Springs for a few years, until he moved to Sanford. It was there that he played on the Historical Sanford Memorial Stadium. They even had Tim Raines (who went on to be a professional) play with them and he struck him out! Glen was a GREAT pitcher! He talked about that for many years and brought home many trophies! Glen lived at Island Lake for over 20 years. He had the best staff on board day and night and everyone loved him. They will remember his smile and his unforgettable presence for sure. He will be looking down on them everyday and telling them he's o.k. now and don't cry. Just remember me and my smile and give it to someone everyday there that needs it. Glen is survived by his siblings, Gail A. Landress Twadell, George (husband); Virginia Landress Guanciale, Johnnie (fiancé), nephew Charles R. Angove IV, (Wife) Melissa Angove, Anthony C. Guanciale, great nephews, Cameron Angove, Wesley Angove, one great niece Ayanna and great nephews Anthony Jr., Kodie and Kaylan. Glen's last employment was the City of Winter Springs Recreation Department. Burial will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, Florida, at a date yet to be determined. The family of Glen Thomas Landress invites you to leave a message of condolence on the Tribute Wall created in his loving memory.
