George Vrabel

February 22, 1926 - April 1, 2022

George Vrabel, passed away at home in Longwood, Florida, on April 1, 2022 at the age of 96. He was born in Summit Hill, Pennsylvania, to the late Veronica (Piatok) and Andrew Vrabel. He was one of five brothers and three sisters. George is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy with whom he shared 72 years of marriage and by his son Dennis Vrabel. Devoted father of Chuck (Elaine) Vrabel of Medina, Ohio, Janet (Phil) Shearer of Longwood, and Georgene Vrabel of Longwood. Loving grandfather of Mike (Jen) Vrabel, CJ (Danielle) Shearer and Amanda Shearer (Fianc? Alec) and great grandfather of Tyler and Carter Vrabel, and Diana Shearer. George is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. George lived in Akron, Ohio where he met his wife Dorothy. Upon moving to Longwood in 1982 they joined the Church of the Annunciation parish, where they were very active members. George was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus, enjoyed watching all sports especially his grandchildren playing sports, and was an avid golfer especially with his golfing buddies. He served in the Navy during WWII. George had many good times shared with his family and friends.
