Ella “Jean” Boteler Brooklyn 90, Passed away on Sept 14, 2020 at her home in Lake Mary, FL. Born Oct 15, 1929 in Lake Mary to Howard and Florence Boteler, she had one brother Howard Boteler, Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband Ted Brooklyn (1996) and her first born son, Donald Vern "Rick" Brooklyn, who died 4 hours after his birth in Sept 1948. She is survived by her 5 children Susan McIntosh of Sanford, FL, Tim (Lesia-) Brooklyn of Paisley, FL, Trudy (Jack) Jimenez of Sorrento, FL, Pam (Frank, Jr) Griffin of Lake Mary, FL, Teddi (David) Dovan) Lake Mary, FL. She has 11 grandchildren (6 spouses) and 19 great grandchildren (2 spouses) and 2 great-great grandchildren; a niece Peggy (Jay) Hilton of Pembroke Pines, FL, a nephew Gary (Susan) Boteler of Atlanta, GA, 2 great nieces, a great nephew and a great-great nephew. Jean was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Lake Mary since the age of 12. She was an Elder and Choir Director for 36 years. She was also Clerk of Session. She worked for Wheeler Fertilizer, Chase & Company and Sunniland Corporation where she retired in 1995. She served on the Lake Mary Historical Commission as Chair and she loved to travel and did so as much as possible. She loved spending time with her family. She had the voice of an angel and is now singing in the heavenly choir. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Oct 2, 2020 at 10:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Mary, 128 W. Wilbur Ave., Lake Mary. In lieu of flowers donations to First Presbyterian Church are appreciated.
