Dolores Ann Baker passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on January 22, 2022 in Orlando, Florida. She was born to Edward and Anna New on June 26, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio. Dolores and her husband, Larry, were married for 59 beautiful years. Together they would go on to have 3 sons and 6 grandchildren. She lived in Cleveland, Ohio the vast majority of her life and spent the last year and a half of her life enjoying the warm weather and sunny skies in Orlando, Florida. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Baker; sons, Larry, Greg and Ken Baker; daughter-in-law, Bethann Baker; sister, Gerry Cefaratti; brother-in-law, Lou Cefaratti; grandchildren, Brandon, Meghan, Amanda, Brian, Chris and Matthew Baker. Dolores was the most thoughtful, selfless, caring, and giving person. Everyone knew to be careful telling her when they really liked something, or she would show up at their door with multiples of that item! Gift giving was her love language. She was a devoted Catholic who enjoyed attending weekly Mass and church festivals. Dolores loved hosting and celebrating holidays and birthdays with family. She made sure to make each person’s favorite dish, even if that meant waking up in the wee hours of the morning to get it all done. She had a way of making everyone feel special and loved. Her grandchildren were very fortunate to grow up close by to where their Nanny lived. She was a big part of each of their daily lives, whether it be family vacations down in Florida, pool days at Leisure Time, dinner at Marcelitas or a weekend sleepover at Nanny’s house. Dolores will be greatly missed by many, as her love for others was so profound. In lieu of flowers the family of Dolores Ann Baker requests donations be made in Dolores' memory to Annunciation Catholic Church.
