William "Skip" Lee Logan Jr.

William Lee Logan, Jr., affectionately known as “Skippy” (“Skip” for short), was born on May 20, 1950 in the Naval Hospital in Seattle, Washington to William Lee and Louise Ora Logan. Skippy was a very happy child. He loved to read, play football, lacrosse and wrestle. His favorite food was apple pie. Skip played sports throughout junior and senior high school. He was somewhat of a sports legend at Deer Park High winning numerous trophies for football, wrestling and lacrosse. Skip graduated from Deer Park High School - Class of 1968. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and shortly after training, was shipped off to serve as a medic in VietNam and Cambodia. Skip was also a quiet spoken man that never liked too much fuss. He could carry on a conversation with anybody on any topic. He always spoke his mind, saying just what he needed to say. When he found something funny he had the heartiest of laughs. Skip loved to help you if he could. He would give you his last dollar and go without in order to help someone. Most importantly, Skip loved his family very much. Skip had a passion for cooking. He began his career serving as an apprentice under a decorated chef in Louisiana. He later worked at numerous restaurants in a variety of locations, such as New York, which included numerous years at the exclusive Windows of the World on the top of the World Trade Center, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, Florida and even serving as a chef on an oil rig. Skip is survived by Janice and family, two sons, Jason William Logan and Aaron John Logan, seven grandchildren, Ariana Jade and Kayla Denise, Madison Nicole, Aaron John, Jr., Savannah-Marie Denise, Malachi William and Xavier Manuel, daughter-n-law, Samantha Logan, mother, Louise O. Logan, sisters - Jane N. Wyche, and Donna L. Payne, and brother Anthony J. Logan [Gwen] and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. What is Prayer? No . . . prayer is so often just words unspoken Whispered in tears by a heart that is broken . . .
