Ronald L Elrod, 77, of Fort McCoy, Florida passed away on November 10 th 2019 in Ocala, Florida.
Ronald was born in Bradford, Pa. to Jeanette and Roy on July 1 st 1942. Shortly after graduation, during the Vietnam war, he joined
the Air Force where he maintained the airplanes and was involved in bringing deceased veterans back home.
After being discharged he returned to Bradford and became a truck driver for Quaker State Corp. until he retired. Not ready to fully
retire he opened a tee-shirt and gift shoppe in the Amish Country town of Berlin, Ohio. He enjoyed visiting with tourist and the
company of the Amish people.
He came to Florida in 2008 to enjoy the sunshine and ride his motorcycle all year round. Later in his life he purchased his dream log
home in the Ocala forest where he could relax, go for long walks with his beloved dog Bandit and see all the wildlife.
He also loved Harley Davidson motorcycles and rode them for over 50 years. Ron also loved to travel and visited Costa Rica,
Nevada and has taken several cruises.
He is survived by his wife Diana, a daughter Lisa McKean (Kerry). Two sons, Shane (Malinda)Elrod and Jason (Jenn) Elrod. He also
leaves behind 5 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren: Haydon, Madison, Devon, Keenan, Brielle, and Aidan, Zander and Dylan and a great granddaughter Parker. He is also survived by his brother William (Fuji).
