Mr. Michael Henry Erpenbach

Michael H. Erpenbach, 61, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on Sunday, June 2, 2013. Mike loved his wife of 22 years, Martha, his 4 children, 5 grandchildren, and 2 Dachshunds. Mike was born in Milwaukee, WI, on June 14, 1951, to Max and Louise (Lund) Erpenbach. He moved to Florida with his parents in 1956. He graduated from Bishop Moore High School in 1970 and was retired from Teco Peoples Gas Company where he worked for 36 years. He married Martha Klinker on October 20, 1990, and they shared a wonderful life together. He also enjoyed traveling in his motorhome, Nascar racing, displaying his 1969 Boss 302 at area car shows, water skiing on the same lake in his backyard that he crossed to go to school, and especially spending quality time with his family. He was greatly loved and will be missed by his wife, Martha; his sons and their wives, Christopher and Gretchen and Stephen and Jamie Erpenbach, Orlando; his step-sons, Michael Lewis and fiancé, Donya Pinkerton, Altamonte Springs, and Matthew Lewis, Orlando; his grandchildren, Alexander, Abagail, Andrew, Siena Erpenbach, and Harmony Lewis; his sister, Mary Kuenzli; his niece, Heather Greene, and his great-niece, Marisa Greene. He was also survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lynn Klinker, Chandler, AZ, Paul (Maureen) Klinker, Eagle River, WI, Frances (Tobi) Klinker-Leonard, Hillsborough, NC, John (Gale) Klinker, Pahoa, HI, Jeanie (Glenn) Bell, Oshkosh, WI, James Klinker, Bonifay, FL, Thomas Klinker, Apopka, FL, Alan (Licha) Klinker, South Gate, CA, Mike Retz, South Mills, NC, Mary Harvey, Apopka, FL, and Stephen Klinker, Morrisville, NC. He was further survived by his “brothers” Donald Churaman and Dick (Sandy) Sande, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends, along with his Dachshunds, Gretchen and Sophie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Louise; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Michael Klinker, David Klinker, Mary Anne Klinker, and Christine Retz. Also his Dachshunds, Sonny and Hans. Visitation for family and friends will be at the DeGusipe Funeral Home, 9001 N. Orlando Avenue, Maitland, FL, on Friday, June 7, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. with a Memorial Service starting at 7 p.m. A Catholic Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 861 Maitland Avenue, Altamonte Springs, FL. Interment will be at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Winter Park, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
