Mark Randall

Mark Randall, 75, passed away on July 24, 2025, in Altamonte Springs, Florida. A devoted husband, brother, and friend, Mark lived a life marked by integrity, service, and deep personal faith. Born on January 18, 1950, in Washington, D.C., Mark was the son of Henry and Jane Randall. Mark graduated from American Community High School before earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Syracuse University. He later received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law. Mark's legal career spanned five decades and left a lasting impact on the Central Florida legal community. He began his work as a public defender in Orange County from 1975 to 1977. After gaining valuable experience in public service, he opened his own private law practice in 1979, specializing in criminal defense for over forty years —until 2020- he served clients with dedication and professionalism. From 2021 to 2024, he continued his commitment to justice as a District Attorney in Intake with the Office of the State Attorney in Orlando. Throughout his career, Mark was known not only for his legal acumen but also for mentoring younger attorneys and earning the respect of colleagues across the courtroom. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mark served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1974 to 1975 at Fort Sam Houston in Texas. Mark's Catholic faith was central to his life. He prioritized attending Mass and prayerfully lived out his beliefs with sincerity and devotion. Outside of work and worship, Mark embraced life with enthusiasm and curiosity. A passionate traveler, he explored much of the world-including China, Russia, Europe, South America, Canada, New Zealand, numerous Caribbean destinations, and every corner of the United States. His love for travel reflected his open- mindedness and appreciation for diverse cultures. He found joy in gardening at his beach house retreat where he transformed two-and-a-half backyard lots into a lush haven filled with palm trees and vibrant foliage-a peaceful sanctuary that brought him great pride. Mark also had an enduring love for sports- especially Syracuse football-and possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of sports statistics as well as music, entertainment history, and world events. Since the 1990's Mark loved hosting poker nights at the Pink Palace for his many loyal, long term friends. His sharp memory and quick wit made him a captivating conversationalist among friends. On June 20, 2024, Mark married Jean Rizzolo. Their time together was filled with happiness and mutual devotion—a cherished chapter that brought both joy and companionship. Mark is survived by his sister Christy Randall of Coral Springs, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Jane Randall and his younger brother Mathew. Those who knew Mark will remember him as genuine and honorable-a man who related easily to others through humor and warmth. His loyalty ran deep; whether as a husband or friend or colleague at law, he gave fully of himself with honesty and heart. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and inspiration to all who strive to live with purpose and compassion. A Funeral Mass will be held on August 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Annunciation Catholic Church 1020 Montgomery Rd. A reception will follow at Mark's Pink Palace. 222 Coachmans Cove, Altamonte Springs
