Malcolm M. Martin Sr.

In memory of Malcolm M. Martin Born in Lufkin, Texas, Malcolm was a proud seventh-generation Texan, the son of Lloyd C. Martin and Wilma Lee Martin (Shepard). He is survived by his loving wife Mary Busowski-Martin, MD. He was preceded in death by his first wife Joyce J. Martin (Rogers), together they had 2 children, Chip and Joselin Martin. Also preceded in death by his beloved sister Wilma Marie Sexton and is survived by her husband Jim Sexton of Glen Rose, Texas. He leaves behind his step-children Katelyn Busowski (Christopher Weldon) their three children Liliana, Dustin, and Patrick whom he adored and Michael Busowski (Sarah Barnes). He is survived by nieces, nephews, his beloved granddaughters Emily Jackson and Maggie Jackson (Michael Haber). He carried the strength and resilience of his Texas roots throughout his life, living with quiet pride, unwavering integrity, and a generous heart. A gifted golfer and lifelong friend, Malcolm loved the game and the connections it created. Friends would say, “that man could play his ball!” But it wasn’t just about the sport, he cherished the camaraderie, the laughter, and the shared moments on the green that became endearing memories. Malcolm was a leader in the construction industry. He mentored many young men with his stern guidance and keen instincts. Decades later, these men have gone on to succeed in their own right, often citing Malcolm as a father figure, a guiding light, and a source of wisdom they carry with them this day. Though his life was marked with many accomplishments, his greatest joy was found in love. In what felt like a miracle, he and Mary found one another later in life. Their union was proof that true love has no timetable. Together, they built a partnership filled with laughter, devotion, and a quiet certainty that they had found home in each other. Their love story was proof that souls can still find their way to each other, no matter how much time has passed. Though his earthly journey has ended, his spirit lives on in every memory, every kindness, and every heartbeat he once touched. Through years of battling Parkinson’s disease, Malcolm’s spirit remained steadfast. He was deeply grateful to his dream-team of therapists at South Seminole Hospital, Ben Brown, Carol Palmer, and Mike (Vincent) Hufanda. They became more than his therapists, they became trusted friends, their genuine care and love for Malcolm became his life-line and beacon for hope. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Father John Bluett at San Pedro Spiritual Retreat, 95 Bishop Grady Lane, Winter Park, FL 32792, followed by inurnment in Queen of Angels cemetery on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Visitation starts at 10:30, mass at 11 am.
