Linda Clymer Ellis

Linda Clymer Ellis, 80, of Longwood, FL, beloved wife of Gary Ellis, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Renaissance Senior Living in Sanford, FL. Linda, daughter of John and Alice Clymer was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, June 23, 1941. She is survived by her husband Gary Ellis; daughter Patricia Ellis-Roberts (Todd), son John Ellis (Christy), daughter Missie Westerman (Andy), son Brent Ellis (Andrea), and grandchildren: Avery Ellis, Addison Ellis, Trent Roberts, and Payton Roberts, nephew Clark Taylor (Jim), and niece Katy Mattson (Matt). Her father and mother and sister, Anne Taylor, preceded her in death. Devoted wife and mother of four children, she was a dedicated Band Mom for 14 years, and was often referred to as “Mom’s Taxi” while her kids were growing up. Her passions included family genealogy and antique dolls, which lead her to be the creator of a nationally recognized, doll repair home business, Linda’s Doll Hospital, in Pittsburg, PA. She loved cheering on her Ohio Buckeyes and the halftime show with “Script OHIO” and was often wearing her favorite color, red, in support. Linda enjoyed keeping up with her classmates from Bay Village High School, in Cleveland, OH, Class of 1960 and always looked forward the reunions with her friends. She also co-hosted the PGA International Junior Cup matches with athletes from Venezuela, in West Palm Beach, FL in the eighties with her husband Gary, a PGA Master Professional. “Grandma Lulu” as she was lovingly nicknamed, enjoyed spending time with her family, niece and nephew, grandchildren & grand dogs and was also a caring foster mom for rescue poodles over the years. Her favorite flowers were gardenias which she tended to in her garden. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 11:00 am at DeGusipe Funeral Home, 9001 N Orlando Ave, Maitland, FL 32751, followed by a small reception.
