Janice Renee Strobach

Janice Renee Strobach, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on June 16th 2023 at the age of 62. She was born on May 5, 1961, in Lubbock, Texas, the cherished daughter of Earl Jackson Day and Mary Ann Robinson Day. Janice's father, Earl, served his country with honor as a Master Sergeant in the Air Force until his retirement in 1968. In that same year, the family moved to Orlando, Florida, where Janice would leave an indelible mark on the lives of those she touched. Janice's vibrant spirit and thirst for knowledge were evident from an early age. During her elementary years at Dover Shores Elementary School, she eagerly pursued her passions, taking baton, gymnastics, and guitar lessons. Her talent and enthusiasm were matched by her warm heart, which led her to become a cheerleader at Stonewall Jackson Jr. High, where she also sang in chorus. Continuing her journey at Boone High School, Janice's energy and dedication shone brightly. She was a proud member of the Boone Bravettes, flag and rifle corps, and was even honored as part of the homecoming court. Outside of school, she shared her love for the aquatic world by working at Sea World as a Sea-Maid and Pearl Diver. Janice's beauty and grace also garnered recognition, as she participated in multiple beauty pageants, including Miss Flame, where she achieved a top 5 placement, and first runner-up for the Miss Tangerine Bowl pageant. While these accomplishments were notable, Janice's greatest joy and fulfillment came from her role as a mother. She adored her three children, Kyle, Austin, and Shelby, and dedicated herself to their happiness and well-being. She found immense satisfaction working at Mom's Day Out at Dover Shores Baptist Church and embraced the joys and challenges of being a stay-at-home mom during her early married years. Janice's love for learning and her commitment to helping others led her to pursue higher education. She received her bachelor’s degree in social work from her beloved alma mater, the University of Central Florida (UCF), and continued her academic journey to obtain a master's degree at Webster University in Counseling. At the time of her passing, Janice had become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, positively impacting countless lives with her compassionate care and insightful guidance. Janice's life was further enriched by the deep and unending love and support of her husband, Jeff Strobach. Their 25-year union was a testament to their enduring commitment and shared journey through life's joys and sorrows. Together, they shared many wonderful times and places, a strong church life, and created a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. In addition to her husband and children, Janice leaves behind her beloved sisters and best friends. Her younger sister, Jeri Day Perdue, and her older sister, Jacqueline Day-Pickett, were not just siblings, but also her closest confidantes and companions throughout her life's journey. The bond they shared was unbreakable, and their sisterhood brought immense joy to Janice's heart. In addition, she leaves behind Jeri’s husband Scott Perdue and their daughter, her niece, Lauren Rebuck. In her role as "Grammy" Janice radiated warmth and affection, leaving an everlasting impact on her granddaughters, Rosie and Lilli. The joy she experienced in their presence brought immense happiness to her heart. Janice’s faith was at the center of her life. She was truly in God’s image. Her love of Jesus was evident in the way she fiercely loved, her empathetic heart and her compassion for others. She truly walked her commitment to our Lord. Janice Renee Strobach will be fondly remembered as a woman of boundless energy and grace. Her infectious laughter, nurturing spirit, and unwavering love will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and resilience that will continue to inspire all who follow in her footsteps. She will be deeply missed by all that loved her so very much, and knew her.
