Frank J. Domante

Frank John Domante beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother. He departed this life at the age of 75, on March 21, 2021. He lost the battle with pancreatic cancer that took him from this life too soon. Frank married his sweetheart, Diane Melleby in 1965 and recently celebrated 55 years of loving marriage. Frank was born in Staten Island, New York and was the oldest of 70 cousins. He had an extremely large extended family that still reside in the North East. He served his country briefly in the National Guard based out of Staten Island where he developed strong patriotic feelings and great love for our country. He worked for B.F. Goodrich Tire Company both in New York and Florida. He then purchased his own B.F. Goodrich franchise located on Treasure Island, FL. It was a successful business that allowed him to establish relationships with many other local business owners and families in the community. After Frank sold the tire company, he then went on to work as an Accountant for the Pinellas County Health Department until he retired. Frank enjoyed cooking, boating, fishing, golf, and entertaining family and friends. He was known throughout the family as an outlandish storyteller that never lacked details. Some of his lesser known talents included painting, stained glass work and Norman Rockwell pottery. In retirement, he was very interested in day trading investments in the NYSE. He had a sharp mind, he and was an excellent poker player and was feared by family members that joined him at the tables. Surviving family members include his loving wife Diane (Melleby) Domante, his sons, William Domante and his wife Peri, Michael Domante and his wife Jaclyn, his sister Patricia Murtha and her husband Thomas and entire Murtha family. Granddaughter, Nicole Domante and Grandson, Keith Arison and family. Frank was also blessed with a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. We are still blessed to have his Uncle Andrew Napolitano and all of the guidance that he still provides our family. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, March 25, 2021 beginning at 4 pm until time of service at 6 pm. There will be a reception provided by the family at the funeral home following the service. There will also be a continuation of the reception at William & Peri Domante's home following the reception at the funeral home.
