Obituary

CAROL FRANCES HANNING (HUNT), age 79
Carol (aka; Q-Tip, Eeyore, Birdie, The Crab) died peacefully surrounded by friends and family after an extended illness left her in a lot of pain.

She was born and raised in Washington, DC, and graduated from McKinley Tech. in 1954. Then graduated from the University of Colorado in 1960 where she was a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. Met and married Rosario C. Niosi (Washington, DC), Foreign Services of the US Govt. This 'love at first sight' meeting resulted in a marriage and two daughters; Margo Carol in 1962 and Carla Frances in 1964, settling in Kensington, MD.

She was widowed in 1968 and remarried in 1970 to Lt. Cmdr. James F. Hunt of the US Coast Guard, adopting his three sons J. Dmitri, Buck J., and Tom C. Hunt. The newly-formed extended family resided in Rockville, MD, Brownsville, TX, Cape May, NJ, and Brunswick, OH.

Divorced in 1982, Carol moved to Orlando, FL, where she began her 26 year career at Disney working in Gift Stop and Lost & Found at EPCOT, retiring in 2008.

Carol was loved by many because of her infectious spirit & sharp wit, and she was always up for a cocktail and a story, particularly at the Old Key West resort at Disney. She loved 'all things Disney,' traveling (especially to Cancun), taking cruises, and most of all, her children. She loved people and learning about their unique stories, always up for a chat.

She will be so missed by everyone that knew her but mostly her kids. Carol was an extraordinary human who loved to laugh and make people laugh.

In death she is reunited with her loving parents Frances (Miller) and Wallace Hanning, her brother Lyman, and her first husband, Ross.

Carol's Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, November 3rd from 1pm – 3 pm at the Enzian Theater, Maitland, in the main theater.
