To leave behind a legacy is to provide others with an imprint of your character that will hopefully be reflected on for generations to come. A son, a friend, a brother, a leader and most importantly a child of God, Andrew Charles Johnson legacy is a combination of all of the above listed expressions and much more. Drew as he is affectionally called by those who knew and loved him was born the 28th of July 1966 in Brooklyn New York to his beloved mother Erminette Johnson and late father Percival Johnson. As a child, Drew grew up surrounded by his devoted mother, a large extended family and friends who loved and helped to develop the fun affectionate only child into a loving and kind man. Driven to succeed from an early age, after high school Drew went on the graduate from Northeastern University in Boston Massachusetts. Andrew later relocated to Orlando to be with his mother in 1988 and has resided in Florida since. From a young age Drew developed a love and appreciation for music. As a result of this passion, Drew pursued his love of music professionally and opened a music production studio and became a music producer by trade. I remember many days and nights Drew would spend countless hours in the studio until the wee hours of the morning perfecting his craft. Drew helped to launch the successful music careers of several artist and worked long hours doing what he loved the most. The definition of a man, Drew is best known for his generous and compassionate character. Drew is a man that truly cared about and showed kindness to everyone that he came into contact with. Drew was a peacemaker that saw the good in everyone and used a clam and even keen manner to settle disputes. He would always give people the benefit of the doubt and hear all sides without judgment. Drew was generous with his time, financial resources and most importantly his love. He loved his mother, family friends and music. Drew was always filled with laughter and stories that left an indelible impression on everyone he met. Drew and his mother Mrs. Johnson shared a very special bond that is hard to put into words. Drew was totally devoted to the care and wellbeing of his mother and she his. Over the years the two of them developed a connection that only they know the depths of. When someone asked for one, they asked for the other. No one knows God reason for the events that have taken place, but Andrew we know that you are smiling down on us and continuing to care for your mother from up above and we will continue to do the same here. Drew leaves behind five aunts and two uncles, cousins, friends, associates and professional acquaintances that will truly miss him. Our darling Drew has gone home now, guided by his faith and the love of his family and friends here and lost. At last he will be with his maker and has left those of us here who grieves his passing with the memories we're made, the good he did and the dream that will be kept alive though his music. When you think of Drew from this day forward remember him with one enduring image in your head…of a man at his studio rocking to the beat and doing the thing he loved the most after his mother and God. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM,Saturday, February 6, 2010, at Deeper Life Assembly, 8825 AD Mimms Road, Orlando, Florida.
