Ruthann Marie Conklin D.V.M was her title. Her nick name to me was "Toothann" as I was her little brother. Her friends called her (R.A.C) Ruth. Ann Conklin - as term of endearment. She died peacefully in her sleep in her home in Sanford on 5/12/24. Perhaps the sorrow of our mother's death 5/10/24 was too much for her to bear.
She is survived by Charlie Conklin (the oldest) and Robert Conklin (the youngest). So yes, she was the middle child.
Ruthann Marie Conklin was born in Champagne Urbana Illinois to Bristol C Conklin and Phyllis M Conklin. She graduated H/S from Seminole High School of Sanford Florida. Later she graduated from University of Florida in Large animals. She had a special place in her heart for horses and all animals. After graduation she moved to Ojai California. It was beautiful and close to the Pet Emergency Clinic. She ended working there for 20 years. In California she also pursued her love of sports. She competed in running and riding events and did them all with purpose. She was later diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, so it was good she did all those this early in life.

A funeral is scheduled for June 22nd at Markham Woods Presbyterian Church. The service will be for Ruthann and Phyllis due to them passing so close in time.
