Benjamin Ammaturo, 83 of Orlando, Florida passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014. Ben was born September 6, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York to Edward and Angelina Durso Ammaturo.
Ben aka "Murphy" as those close to him called him served in the United States Army. During the Korean War, Ben served as a Combat Medic. In 1951, Ben came home to New York where he met his wife Antoinette Genovese. Ben and Ann were married for 57 years. Ben loved sports, especially Major League Baseball and Horse Racing. His favorite teams were the San Francisco Giants and the New York Yankees.

Ben adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and always looked forward to spending time with them and telling them jokes. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ann; daughter, Debbie Schlauraff (Edward); sons, John (Beth) & Mark; Grandchildren, Christina Chaffin (Chris), Amanda Ammaturo, Cory Ammaturo, Anthony Ammaturo; Great-Grandchildren, Brooklynn Chaffin, Brynn Chaffin & Bennett Chaffin.

Services for Ben will be determined by his family at a later date.
